October is Breast Cancer Prevention Month
1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. Fewer than 10% of those cases are due to family history. This year, we expect over 310,000 women to be diagnosed with invasive cases of breast cancer and over 42,000 who will die from the disease.
Breast cancer awareness is crucial, but prevention is just as important—because we need to stop breast cancer before it starts.
